Reliance Mobile is now offering free WhatsApp and Facebook to its CDMA users. Prepaid users of Reliance CDMA can access WhatsApp and Facebook at no extra cost.

A similar offer is also available on GSM prepaid but customers have to recharge with some special denomination to get the free WhatsApp and Facebook offer. So the offer is quite good for those who are on CDMA since they can access it free of cost. They also offer cheap data rates to CDMA users.

It seems Reliance is trying to revive its shrinking CDMA business by attracting more users on the CDMA platform.

Reliance has also claimed that the company will have its own 4G network by next year. Reliance will use the existing 800 Mhz band with the recently won 800 Mhz band to deploy high speed 4G network.
