Rediff.com today announced the launch of Rediffmail NG, the next generation low cost Push Email service for Mobile Service users in India.
With the new service now MTNL Dolphin/Trump (Delhi) and Airtel mobile service users have the advantage of being able to send and receive Unlimited Email, look up contacts and assign tasks to the calendar, and set reminders with the same ease from mobile devices as from their PC and all for just Rs.50 per month without any GPRS/ Data charges.
An Rediffmail NG mobile account gives GPRS connectivity through RediffTouchNet. This makes the GPRS FREE and No cost is incurred by the user for accessing his mail. Currently RediffTouchNet is available with Airtel and MTNL Delhi (Dolphin/Trump). For other operators, the GPRS would be billed to the user as per his plan. Rediffmail NG Mobile can be bought for a minimum of 12 months at a cost of Rs. 50 per month.
Rediffmail NG works across almost all mobile phone platforms including Symbian, Java, and Android, as well as on almost all mobile phones in the market (close to 200 models from over two dozen manufacturers), including all entry level phones which cost as little as $30.
Users of Rediffmail NG can maintain service upon switching phones which has become increasingly important with the introduction of new phone models on a continuous basis. Additionally, Rediffmail NG offers seamless service across a user’s phone and PC, providing instant and secure synchronization, and full-service features including multi-tasking capabilities, administrative control, SMS and always-on e-mail service.
