Reliance communications the fourth largest operator by subscriber base currently holds a big portion of the data market due to its affordable pricing and consistent high speed network.

The company from time to time releases new promotional offerings for its subscribers which are usually limited period offers. Today Rcom has through its USSD portal *129# released a tempting offer for its Mumbai circle subscribers by offering 2GB of its high speed 3G data for just Rs.86 with a 5 day validity period.

At times these promotional offerings may not be consistent for all subscribers since it is offered through the USSD platform. Users are advised to check the offering by dialing *129# and selecting option 3 for unlimited 3G.

Actually, reliance GSM has a huge number of 3G users.. (it’s highest where it has presense). So, network is a but congested. Voice calls can’t be connected at one try in peak hours. Data connection is also inconsistent in evening hours, it gets disconnected automatically and takes time to reconnect . Speed is OK. I get 100-200 kB /s in peak k hours and 300-400kB/sec in midnight and early morning. And 3G coverage is OK in Kolkata.

I get the same offer on my reliance GSM Delhi circle. Its a good offer by Reliance but their GSM network is awful now a days. You cant make calls and 3G is horrible. There is so much fluctuation in network evrytime & you can’t connect it at once. However its CDMA technology is pretty good and cost effective too. In my opinion if you have good 3G internet speed in your area than go for this offer as you can also carry forward the unused data balance. Thank you

+1 It is now heavily congested. 3G speeds crawl like snail. Call congestions are not severe and that only enables me to continue with Reliance. However, some routes have non-stop congestion like most of the time, calls to Bihar circle from my Reliance don’t get connected.

Only cheap tariffs force me to use this operator. Their service quality really sucks but due to lack of any alternative, we are forced.

I just purchased a new gsm prepaid sim but I am not getting any unlimited 3G offer on *129#
I don’t think Reliance will increase the number of towers in Delhi for 4G LTE Jio launch 🙁

Lots of people from Bihar are staying in Delhi for various purpose. So, it’s very obvious that lines to Bihar circle are busy all the time.
