Putting an end to a series of rumours, Qualcomm has revealed on Twitter that a new OnePlus smartphone is "on the way." We reported earlier about an upcoming OnePlus phone - the OnePlus 3T. As per Qualcomm's revelation, OnePlus is indeed coming up with a new device, which will come powered by its top-notch Snapdragon 821 chipset. However, the chipset maker did not reveal the official name and other specs of the phone.

OnePlus 3T

Many of the past reports suggested that the OnePlus 3T is an enhanced version of the OnePlus 3. It will run Android 7.0 Nougat, and its high-end chipset would make it slightly stronger than the OnePlus 3 that employs Snapdragon 820. Rest of the features are expected to stay identical to the previous model, such as 5.5-inch full HD 1080p display, 64GB storage, 6GB of RAM, and 3000 mAh battery.

Some reports also tipped that the OnePlus 3T could be priced higher than the OnePlus 3 as it packs in better hardware. The expected pricing for the OnePlus 3T could be $479 (approx. Rs. 32,000). OnePlus might make it official on November 14, next week. With the new chipset, we could see a performance boost of up to 10 percent on the OnePlus 3T when compared to OnePlus 3.

To recall, many rumors indicated that the OnePlus is working on a mini variant of the OnePlus 3, but such stories were later rubbished by company’s CEO Carl Pei. On the other hand, the OnePlus 3T seems to be a real deal, thanks to the revelation by Qualcomm.
