So, Motorola's next station would be New York City on July 25, where the company is expected to launch a new smartphone. Motorola sent out official press invites for the July 25 event with a tagline- "You won't want to miss this," and red, yellow, orange, pink and blue lights flash in the background.

The invite did not give any hint about which smartphone Motorola will launch at the event. But rumours say that the Moto Z2 and Z2 Force are the frontrunners to be unveiled at the event. Recently, a render of the Moto Z2 Force surfaced online, which revealed the device in its complete glory. And the standard Moto Z2 has been making rounds on the web since a long time now.

There's also a possibility that the mid-range Moto X4 may also be unveiled at the event. Coming to the rumoured specifications of these devices, the Moto Z2 and Z2 Force will be the company's flagship phones for 2017. The Moto Z2 will be a thinner phone, while the Z2 Force will come with a shatterproof display.

Both the devices will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chip, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There might be microSD card slot for storage expansion. And the highlight of both the phones will be dual camera setup at the rear. Yes, the Moto Z2 and Z2 Force will pack two cameras of 13MP at the back, but the implementation is still a mystery. Furthermore, the Moto Z2 will have a smaller battery, compared to the Moto Z2 Force. And they come with support for Moto Mods as well.

The Moto X4 will be company's mid-range smartphone and currently has two set of rumoured specifications. One says that the device will have a 5.2-inch display, Snapdragon 660 SoC, 4GB of RAM, dual camera setup, and a beefy 3800mAh battery. Other rumour says that the device will have a 5.5-inch Full HD display, Snapdragon 630 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a 3000mAh battery.

Also, the Moto X4 is said to be Motorola's first IP68 certified smartphone because the company relies on nano-coating to protect the device from water spills. Also, there are two mid-range smartphones- the Moto G5s and G5s+ in the pipeline as well. As said earlier, Motorola is yet to reveal what they're going to announce at the July 25 event.
