Micromax sold 20,000 units of Canvas Spark in less than 2 minutes

Last week, Micromax unveiled another pocket-friendly smartphone, Canvas Spark for a price of Rs. 4,999. Today, the company held its first online flash sale on Snapdeal at 12PM, and now the company has reported that it sold whooping 20,000 units of the device in less than 2 minutes.

Canvas SparkThe Canvas Spark Q380 comes with a 4.7-inch qHD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and sports an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash along with a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. There is 8GB of internal storage on-board and the device is backed by a 2,000 mAh battery.




The reason behind such solid customer response for the phone could be its affordability and specifications. Micromax will be hosting the second flash sale of Canvas Spark on 6th May 2015 and Snapdeal has announced that the registrations for the next sale will begin at 12.00PM on May 1.

Commenting on the sale, Shubhajit Sen, CMO, Micromax said,”The consumer response for the Canvas Spark has been phenomenal and overwhelming at the same time with the demand for the device increasing every passing minute.
