In the beginning this year, LeEco stormed into the Indian smartphone market with the LeEco Le 1s smartphone. As we know, the device created a successful impact in the country and holds a record of selling a substantial number of units through flash sales. Now, in the latest move, LeEco seems to be working on the successor to the Le 1s, dubbed as Le 2. A few photos of the rumored device have surfaced on a Chinese website, Weibo.
The alleged images of the Le 2 reveal a lot about the design. Going by the images, we can spot that the device comes embodied in a metal frame. The photos also reveal its front panel and front camera lens. Interestingly, the back panel of the rumored device features the new LeEco logo, the rear camera lens, along with a fingerprint scanner. On the right edge, we can see the power button and the volume rocker. The bottom area reveals the USB Type-C port with speaker and mic grill on both the sides.
Basing the expectations on the report by MyDrivers, the rumored LeEco Le 2 might come powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 or Helio X20 quad-core chipset clubbed with 4GB of RAM. In the imaging department, the device is expected to sport a 21-megapixel primary camera. The report also states that the fingerprint scanner will be equipped with ultrasonic technology. We are not sure if the device is most definitely going to be the successor to the LeEco Le 1s, as it could also be a completely new model to compliment LeEco's Le Max line-up.
It is not convincing enough that LeEco's most affordable smartphone, the Le 1s could get a successor that comes equipped with a flagship level chipset, the Snapdragon 820. So, we suggest taking all the aforementioned info with a pinch of salt.
