Lava has unveiled another budget Android smartphone known as the Iris Fuel 20, for a price of Rs 5,399. The main feature of the phone is its giant 4,400 mAh battery, which is touted to deliver up to 42 hours of talktime, 35 hours of music playback and 13 hours of video playback. The Iris Fuel 20 sports a 5-inch FWVGA display with a resolution of 854x480 pixels resolution and runs Android 4.4 KitKat.
Lava has always bundled up mega batteries in its Fuel series of smartphones. The Iris Fuel 20 is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor coupled with 512MB RAM. It has 4GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD card.
In the imaging department, it sports a 5-megapixel rear camera along with a VGA front camera. The device supports connectivity options such as 2G, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi. Sadly, it lacks 3G connectivity. The phone will be available in white and Metallic Grey colors via various sales channel including the leading e-commerce websites across India.
Lava Iris Fuel 20 is crafted for those users who have high media consumption and want a large display phone with a bigger battery for prolong back-up. However, with just 512MB of RAM and lack of 3G connectivity it will definitely face very stiff competition. The Iris Fuel 20 will be rivaling against pocket-friendly Android smartphones such as Spice Dream Uno Android, Panasonic T40, Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Micromax Unite 2 A106.
