Reliance Jio

Reliance Jio has been offering its customers a Rs 149 plan for a very long time now. It is the entry-level plan for Jio users who don't own a JioPhone. The Rs 149 plan from Reliance Jio can be a value deal for customers if they are looking for something that's not only affordable and short-term in validity but also provides a decent amount of data. The Rs 149 plan is not something that many would want today because it doesn't qualify for the 5G Welcome Offer from Reliance Jio.

The 5G Welcome Offer was introduced by Reliance Jio to offer free 5G to customers throughout India. This offer is only extended to users who have a prepaid plan worth Rs 239 or more. Since the Rs 149 plan is not eligible for the 5G Welcome Offer, users can also recharge with a Rs 61 data voucher which would then make them eligible for unlimited 5G data from Jio.

For now, let's shift our attention back to the Rs 149 plan.

The additional benefits bundled with this plan are JioTV, JioCinema, and JioCloud. Earlier, there used to be more additional benefits, but they have been discontinued by Jio.

Reliance Jio has the best 4G availability and coverage in India, as per Opensignal. Thus, you can rely on the telco's networks to offer you a consistent network experience. With the 5G rollout, the capacity issues should also be addressed in the near future.
