Idea Cellular has announced the expansion of its 4G LTE service to over 90 more towns of Kerala circle, taking the total deployments in the state to over 100.
According to a release by the company, Idea covers 53% of the total population in the region, across all 14 districts. Its 4G services are available in the towns of Alleppey, Kasarkod, Kalpetta, Kayamkulam, Nilambur, Perinthalmanna, Thalasseri, Vadakara, Ernakulam, Trivandrum, Thrissur, Calicut and Malappuram, etc. in Kerala.
Speaking on the expansion, Mr. Vinu Verghese, Chief Operating Officer – Kerala, Idea Cellular said, “As a part of aggressive roll out of Idea’s 4G LTE service, our focus has remained on providing our customers with world class mobile broadband experience coupled with superior service delivery. With better consumer offers and affordable tariff plans, we aim to provide the best-in-class experience to our subscribers in the region.”
Customers can get an upgrade to 4G from 700+ Idea showrooms in Kerala. The upgrade is free-of-cost. To know the location of the nearest 4G showroom via SMS, customers can call to the toll-free number 12149. Also, once upgraded, customers can avail 1 GB of free 4G data by simply sending an SMS ‘GO4G’ to 12345.
