Google Now is one of the single most important feature of Android, which displays time and place relevant information such as weather, sports updates, flight information, stocks, and more. Yesterday, Google has announced an update for Google Now app with support for 40 new third-party Android apps.

Google Now Cards from India-relevant Apps

The list of third-party apps includes a lot of Android apps from Indian brands such as Shaadi.com, ICICI Bank, BookMyShow, Housing, Meru Cabs, etc. Other popular apps include Kayak, Shazam, TripAdvisor, DuoLingo, Runtastic, and ESPNCricInfo, You can see a complete list of third-party apps on Google's official website.

Google has also announced new Google Now cards from Gmail mark-ups, which means that Google Now can show relevant information from mails inside the Gmail app. The list of compatible service providers include Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts, ClearTrip, GoIbibo, MakeMyTrip, Yatra, BookMyShow, and Jet Airways.

As it appears, Google has a lot of focus on integration with Indian service providers and brands. According to Google, the update to the Google Now app is being rolled out now, and the update for cards from third-party Android apps will be rolled out in the coming weeks. Google has also mentioned in its official blogpost that it intends to improve the list of compatible apps over time.
