Facebook acquired WhatsApp last year for around $19 billion, in a bid to be capture the IM market. It was expected that Facebook will integrate its services inside WhatsApp, however that didn’t happen. Now, images have surfcaced on the internet which showcases how Facebook is trying to integrate WhatsApp inside its Android app.
As per the image shown above, Facebook has added a ‘Send’ button inside its Android app for some users, which allows sending Facebook status updates or posts to the user’s WhatsApp contacts. These are the first signs of WhatsApp integration inside Facebook, however you should take this with a pinch of salt, as there are chance that this feature might not be released.
Even after buying Instagram, Facebook didn’t integrate both the apps, or features, and the only feature that made it to Instagram app was “Sign in with Facebook”.
