As part of the new Rs 999 plan, Airtel offers unlimited and free local/STD calls and outgoing in national roaming calls. The unlimited calling is however meant for non-commercial use only according to the company. Hundred local and STD SMSes per day are also offered in this plan.

As for data benefits, Airtel bundles 60GB high-speed 3G/4G internet data with this plan. Unlike other combo plans, there’s no daily FUP limit as regards to internet usage. This means users can consume the entire data as per their requirements.

Airtel’s new offer mainly caters to people who need a long-term plan with unlimited calling and medium data usage. The Rs 999 plan, however, doesn’t show up for everyone and users will have to check for the eligibility on My Airtel app or on the company’s website.

Alongside the Rs 999 plan, Airtel offers another prepaid recharge pack starting at Rs 995. This plans with a much longer validity period of 180 days but cuts down on the data benefits instead.

There’s once again free unlimited voice calls, which includes local, STD and outgoing roaming. A 100 local/STD SMS per day is bundled along with the plan. However, internet benefits are limited to a mere 6GB 3G/4G data. The validity, however, is pretty long lasting six months.

The prepaid plan is ideal for users with long-term voice calling requirements. And in case one wishes to get internet access, there are data top-up plans which can be added when needed.
