As we shared earlier that DoT ordered Airtel to stop 3G services in 7 circles where Airtel is offering 3G via ICRA with Vodafone and Idea within 72 hours, the cat and mouse game of 3G Roaming continues as Airtel got a breather from court.
On 15th March DoT slammed the order on Airtel to shut down controversial 3G roaming services in 7 circles. Airtel went to Delhi High Court on 18th and got the stay order on Government order. As the next hearing on May 8 Airtel can continue 3G services via ICRA in 7 circles.
DoT slapped Rs 350 cr fine on Airtel for this controversial 3G roaming, but with court order DoT now can not touch Airtel and its followers.
