India has 73.06 million DTH subscribers and 245 pay channels as of January 2015, reports TRAI

A total of 826 private satellite television channels are sanctioned by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting as of December 2014, shows Indian Telecom Services Performance Report, released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India. Den Networks reports another loss for Q1 2015

Nearly 140 channels do not follow 12-minutes ad cap directive, reports TRAI

According to a report released by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), 101 general entertainment channels and 39 news channels in the country failed to follow the directive of 12-minutes ad cap per hour, between 23rd February and 1st March. Global: Dish Network Corp reports a loss of 21.8 percent subscribers in Q1-2015

In the first quarter of the year, Dish Network Corporation, the US subscription pay television service provider reported a subscriber loss of 21.8 percent, falling from 639,000 to 554,000 from the corresponding quarter of previous year. Airtel Digital TV shows a massive subscriber increase of 1.06 million in FY2015

Airtel Digital TV has shown a remarkable growth during the fiscal year ended on March 2015. Global: Sky UK shuts its dedicated 3D channel
