TRAI working towards total transition of digital cable TV by 2016

With a full swing digitisation process on a complete transition from Digital cable tv likely to happen by the end of this year, informed a senior official with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India on Thursday.

Sibichen K Mathew, Adviser and Regional Head Bengaluru and Hyderabad (in-charge), TRAI stated that Various value added services will be provided through digitisation which includes broadband for consumers.He was speaking at an occasion organised to create awareness among telecom consumers about their rights and privileges reports E.T. V Sudhakar Reddy, Senior Research Officer explained about the complaint redressal mechanism, mobile number portability and steps taken by TRAI on unsolicited communication and value added services.
