UPI is a whole different ball game and would require the company to get plenty of regulatory approvals before going ahead. Apple looks at India as a very important market. Apple Pay is operated by Apple Payments Services, a subsidiary of Apple. Once it is available in India, users will be able to store their cards in that digitally and make payments via NFC.
