In wake of upcoming Diwali festival, the state-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is offering 10% extra talk time on the existing Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) — STV-159, STV-201, STV-359, and STV-449. The new tariff will be applicable from 15th October 2016 to 31st October 2016. The offer will be available across India.

Commenting on the new offers, R. K. Mittal, Director (CM), BSNL Board said, “We are offering attractive plans and scheme time-to-time to our esteemed customers for their valuable support and feedback.”

Considering the increasing usage of data, especially among the youth and students, BSNL has also launched extra talk value with free data for prepaid mobile services. To say, there are combo vouchers of Rs. 13, Rs. 14, Rs. 15, Rs. 77 and Rs. 177. These promotional vouchers of smaller denominations will be available from the date of implementation by the respective circles till 31st December 2016.

BSNL is also expected to collaborate with virtual network operators (VNOs) and start services by January. This will bring down cost offering telecom services for BSNL and even give them room to slash tariff.

Adapting to the private players, BSNL has announced its plans to increase its mobile broadband capacity by up to two-fold to 600 terabytes in a month.
