BSNL Launches 2 New SMS Packs Offering FREE SMS to Own Network, 12p for Other Networks

After recent rationalization of its SMS tariff with the launch of 5 new SMS Packs, now Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) comes up with two more SMS packs, offering FREE Local and National SMS to BSNL Network and 12p/SMS for all other networks for its 2G and 3G GSM subscribers across India.

BSNL's new SMS STVs will be priced for Rs.32 and Rs.53 and will offer same benefits of FREE SMS to own network and 12p/SMS to any other network across India. SMS STV of Rs.32 and Rs.53 comes with the validity of 15 days and 30 days respectively. These STVs offer BSNL to BSNL FREE 100 local and national SMS per day (as per TRAI guidelines) and cost of 12p per SMS on any other local and national networks.

Beyond free 100 SMS (BSNL to BSNL),charge of 50p per SMS will be charged or SMS charges as per base tariff plan whichever is higher. These new packs/STVs will be available from 10th January 2013.The MRP rate of STVs in each telecom circle may vary subject to their technical feasibility and availability.
