BSNL to launch new Interactive Portal to Manage and Buy new Postpaid Connections, a good move?

BSNL is on a Overdrive mode and trying to reinvent itself as quickly as possible. They were in the news recently for the excellent promo plans. BSNL has now decided to launch a new interactive portal that would help customers to register requests for PostPaid services which will be also made available through a Toll Free number. This said portal would be maintained and operated by ITPC. The portal would also have an option for the customers to make advance payments like the deposits and also upload the documents needed for the connection.

The portal would incorporate a dashboard wherein consumers would be able to see the available Postpaid numbers and they would also be able to book the number online. The customer will be shown all the charges he will be incurring for the particular type of connection before checking out.

This entire move revolves around the effort BSNL is making to bypass its physical offices as customers often complain about the lethargic behavior and the time taken to resolve the issue. If you don't want to walk in to a BSNL office to buy a new connection than this new portal will be extremely useful.
