Country’s top telecom operator Bharti Airtel has added temporary sites in Kumbakonam and its adjacent towns in order to strengthen its network connectivity during the Mahamaham festival, which is taking place in Tamil Nadu. About 50 lakh people attend the Mahamaham festival that happens every 12 years.
“In order to provide top-class connectivity to its customers during the week-long festival, Airtel has added temporary sites with higher capacity near Mahamaham Tank & Portramarai Tank, COW sites at all temporary bus stands & new sites around the temple in Kumbakonam. In addition capacity has been expanded for sites in Kumbakonam and adjacent towns of Tanjore, Trichy, Tiruvarur and Mayiladuthurai to accommodate additional traffic,” the company said in a statement.
Earlier Airtel had provided enhanced coverage during Book Fair & Global Investors Meet in Chennai.
