Bharti Airtel Intros Rs 129 Open Market Prepaid Plan, Also Offering Life Insurance With Rs 249 Plan

Bharti Airtel has made a significant move for the consumers by heavily revamping its pricing strategy on the postpaid front. What was more surprising was Airtel’s new prepaid plan introduction which bundled benefits which were previously only available on postpaid plans. Now it is our opinion, that this prepaid plan is going to attract a lot of consumers owing to its content offering. However, what’s not known to a lot of subscribers is that this one isn’t the only attractive prepaid plan in Airtel’s portfolio. There are some other unique prepaid plans as well which offer exclusive benefits. These plans include the Rs 129 prepaid plan and the Rs 249 prepaid plan which offers term insurance of Rs 4 Lakh.




Airtel Rs 129 and Rs 249 Prepaid Plan Details

Firstly, the Rs 129 prepaid plan is a very economical offering for someone who is looking towards majorly a voice-based prepaid plan. This plan from Airtel bundles 2GB data for the entire validity period of 28 days with unlimited calling and daily 100 SMS. The highlights of this plan include a free subscription to Airtel TV and Wynk Music, where you will be able to watch 350 Live TV channels, 10,000 movies and shows and listen to music.

The second plan that we mentioned is the newly introduced Rs 249 prepaid plan and this plan offers something which no other plan bundles. This plan from Airtel offers a Rs 4 lakh life cover from HDFC Life insurance or from Bharti AXA, which we will get to later. Speaking of the general benefits in this plan, the subscribers will enjoy 2GB daily data as part of this offering, along with unlimited calling and 100 SMS per day for the validity period of 28 days. Additional benefits of this Rs 249 prepaid plan include Airtel TV Premium subscription, Rs 2,000 cashback on buying a new 4G phone, Norton Mobile Security for one year, and subscription to Wynk Music.

How to Get Life Insurance through Rs 249 Airtel Prepaid Plan

Interested subscribers should also keep note that if you want to be eligible for the life insurance benefit of this plan, then you will have to be between 18 and 54 years of age and in good health. Further, to keep the benefits rolling you will have to recharge with the plan month on month consistently.

The telecom operator has also given steps as to how subscribers will be able to register for the offer of this plan and they will either be able to do it through their phone by replying to the SMS. When registered, after the authentication of all the eligibility requirements, subscribers will be able to manage their insurance details like the nominee, address and other information from the Airtel Thanks application. They can also decide to recharge with this plan offline where the Airtel representative will fill a physical form for the insurance registration. Lastly, they will also be able to carry out the registration process from the Airtel Thanks app itself.
