Axtel Upgrades Network Capacity in Mexico to 400 Gbps
Mexican Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) provider, Axtel has announced successfully completing certification tests for coherent optics technology. According to the company, this achievement now enables Axtel to reach data transmission speeds on its network for extended distances of up to 400 Gbps, a feat that the company equates to streaming 134 high-definition movies simultaneously.

Axtel's Coherent Optics Certification

According to Axtel, the company has not only achieved a significant increase in network capacity but has also redefined network architecture and expansion processes in collaboration with its technology partner, Cisco.

Axtel expressed the far-reaching benefits of this accomplishment for their customers. The company emphasized that this enhancement would significantly enhance network performance, minimize implementation timelines, and notably amplify the capacity for information traffic flows.

Axtel reaffirmed its commitment to contribute to a more sustainable future, through a proposal that drives Mexico to be among the countries with the best levels of technological innovation in the region.
