AXN is one of the most sought after entertainment channel that is known to deliver blockbuster Hollywood flicks at your doorstep from almost 17 years. The AXN Network is spread across 60 countries in slightly tweaked out formats. The Action movies and reality show have been the forte for AXN.
AXN is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment and hosted by Multi Screen Media in India. MSM recently obtained licenses for two channels inclusive of AXN HD and SET One.
The MSM media seems to be still toying around with the idea of launching SET One as the market is already a tad bit saturated and the broadcasting revenues are not substantial. Additionally the 12 minute Advert limit put up by TRAI is diminishing the revenues further.
The launch of AXN HD would be a very clever move as we would love to enjoy the Action filled blockbusters on big HD screens at the comfort of our couch. If you own a high-end television then you won’t have to wait for long as the AXN HD is expected to go live as near towards the end of Q3.
