The Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 (ZC553KL) was launched back in December 2016 for Rs. 17,999, but got a price cut earlier this year. With this price cut, the Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 becomes one among the few devices to offer a massive 4100mAh battery. At this price, the Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 (ZC553KL) competes with the likes of Lenovo K8 Note, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Motorola Moto G5S but it offers slightly less powerful specifications than the Lenovo and Xiaomi smartphones.

Regarding specifications, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.5-inch smartphone comes with an all-aluminium-alloy design with 2.5D contoured glass, combined with slim 2.25mm bezel and 73% screen-to-body ratio. The display bears 1920×1080 pixels full-HD resolution.

The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-core processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. There is also an inbuilt memory of 32GB, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The same chipset is seen on smartphones such as Moto G5S, Lenovo K6 Power, etc.

The smartphone rocks a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 0.03s Laser AF/Phase Detection AF/EIS/Dual Flash, along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera featuring f/2.2 aperture, HDR, Lowlight, and Beautification modes. The Zenfone 3 Max 5.5 supports Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot, 4G LTE (Cat 4 150/50Mbps download/upload), GPS, A-GPS, and Bluetooth 4.1. It has a fingerprint sensor in the rear and accepts two SIM cards.

As said earlier, a 4100mAh battery backs this entire package. The smartphone was released with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, but Asus recently updated the device to Android Nougat and even confirmed that all the Zenfone 3 models will receive Android 8.0 Oreo update by the end of this year.

The price reduction will be across all major e-commerce sites like Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal and leading retail stores including Asus Exclusive Stores across India.
