After launching the ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) in India, last month, Asus has finally announced its availability. The phone is priced at Rs. 17,999 and will now be up for sale via Asus's online and offline partner outlets. The ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) will be available in Titanium Gary, Glacier Silver, and Sand Gold colour options.
Regarding specifications, Asus Zenfone 3 Max 5.5-inch smartphone comes with an all-aluminum-alloy design with 2.5D contoured glass, combined with slim 2.25mm bezel and 73% screen-to-body ratio. The display bears 1920x1080 pixels full-HD resolution. The smartphone is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-core processor paired with Adreno 505 GPU and 3GB of RAM. There is also an inbuilt memory of 32GB, expandable up to 128GB via microSD card.
Additionally, ZenFone 3 Max (ZC553KL) sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, five-prism lens, 0.03s Laser AF/Phase Detection AF/EIS/Dual Flash, along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera featuring f/2.2 aperture, HDR, Lowlight, and Beautification modes. “The backlight (Super HDR) mode allows users to see clearly through daytime shadow, super resolution captures multiple shots simultaneously for a single photograph with 64MP detail and low light mode takes clear and bright photos, even in poor lighting,” the company said in a statement released.
For connectivity, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) supports Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Hotspot, 4G LTE (Cat 4 150/50Mbps download/upload), GPS, AGPS, and Bluetooth 4.1. It has a fingerprint sensor in the rear, which is claimed to unlock the phone in just 0.3 seconds. The smartphone is dual-SIM and runs Android Marshmallow OS with ZenUI 3.0 on top. It also has an ICEpower enhanced speaker with dual microphone and noise cancellation feature. A 4100mAh battery backs the device.
Given the specifications, the Asus Zenfone 3 Max will rival the already popular Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le 2, Moto G4 lineup, Moto M, along with the recently launched Lenovo K6 Power, and the K6 Note.
