Apple had announced their new smartphones, the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus last week along with Apple Watch and their own NFC based payment system, the Apple Pay. Today, Apple has announced that they have received over 4 million pre-orders for the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus.
According to Walter Piecyk, an analyst at BTIG Research, this is roughly twice the number of pre-orders which were registered last year for the Apple iPhone 5.
4 mil iPhone 6/6+ pre-orders is 2x iPhone 5 in 2012. There were no pre-orders last year. $AAPL

Unfortunately, Apple hasn't revealed individual pre-order numbers for the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus but we are sure that the pre-orders for the iPhone 6 Plus would be higher.
The Apple iPhone 6 is expected to be priced in India for around Rs 53,500 for the 16GB storage variant while the iPhone 6 Plus is expected to be priced around Rs 62,500 when they get launched in India just before Diwali. Are you planning to buy the iPhone 6 when it releases in India next month?
