AP, Telangana get Airtel 4G services across 40 towns

The telecom service provider Bharti Airtel continue to expand its 4G deployment in the country, the latest being in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The number of 4G roll outs in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh stands at 40. Among this count, 25 deployments belong to Andhra Pradesh and 15 belongs to Telangana. Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh is the latest to receive Airtel 4G services.

Venkatesh Vijayraghavan, Chief Executive Officer, Andhra Pradesh & Telangana, Bharti Airtel Ltd gave the recognition of fast 4G deployment in the states to ‘Project Leap’, the ambitious project of Airtel. Under Project Leap, Airtel invests Rs. 60,000 crore for network transformation and expansion. “We recently launched “Project Leap”, our national network transformation drive, and look forward to augmenting our 4G presence in these states and deliver a compelling network experience for our customers now and in years to come,” Mr. Vijayaraghavan said.

He also noted that Airtel first launched 4G services in Hyderabad in May 2015 and Airtel successfully rolled out 4G services across 40 major towns in a short span of 10 months. “As customers show an increasing propensity for consuming data services, we at Airtel are excited to take the lead in introducing the market to the power of blazing 4G speeds,” he said.

Airtel 4G services are presently available for customers in Hyderabad, Vizag, Vijayawada, Tirupathi, Kurnool, Chittor, Warangal, Karimnagar, Mahbubnagar, Khammam, Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Ramagundam, and Sircilla to name a few. The customers in these towns can enjoy high-speed wireless broadband on Airtel 4G and enjoy uninterrupted HD video streaming, superfast uploading and downloading of movies, music, and images, claimed Airtel.

To avail Airtel 4G, the customers can walk into their nearest Airtel Store and switch to a 4G SIM. More information can be also obtained from Airtel 4G website.
