Alcatel has finally made an entry into the tablet market in India by unveiling the OneTouch POP 8S tablet. The 4G LTE enabled device has been priced at Rs. 10,499, and it will be exclusively available on Flipkart.
The OneTouch POP 8S comes with an 8-inch WXGA TFT display with a resolution of 800×1280 pixels, and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device features 8GB of internal storage on-board, which can be further expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. In the camera department, the tablet sports a 5-megapixel of primary camera with LED flash, along with a 3-megapixel front-facing camera.
It is backed by a 4,060 mAh battery, which is touted by the company to last up to 4.6 hours of video-playback and 351 hours on the stand-by mode. The tablet supports connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and in terms of software, it runs Android 4.4 KitKat. In addition, the tablet also supports voice-calling through a Bluetooth or wired headset.
