Simplified Transactions

The NCMC-enabled cards provide a unified payment solution that simplifies travel across various modes of transport—including metros, railways, and buses—eliminating the need for multiple tickets or cards across the country.

Additionally, NCMC-enabled prepaid and debit cards can be used for everyday transactions such as shopping and dining, making them a versatile choice for commuters, the bank explained.

Commenting on the launch, Airtel Payments Bank said, "The co-branded NCMC-enabled cards provide passengers with a secure, contactless, and comprehensive payment solution, not just for travel but also for everyday transactions. This initiative is a step towards building a future-ready transport system."

"With this all-in-one card, commuters can travel conveniently across India’s first RRTS and other public transit systems, while also managing utility and retail payments. This initiative underscores our dedication to efficiently transforming daily commutes and ultimately improving the quality of life for people," NCRTC added.

Tap-and-Pay Technology for Secure Payments

Equipped with tap-and-pay technology, these cards facilitate quick and secure transactions at transit terminals, retail outlets, and other locations. Airtel Payments Bank also offers a PPI-MTS prepaid card option that can be used exclusively for transit payments, the official release said.

The co-branded NCMC cards are available for purchase at RRTS stations, making them easily accessible to commuters travelling on Namo Bharat trains and other transport modes. Users can also obtain these cards through the Airtel Payments Bank section on the Airtel Thanks app.
