Airtel has launched a new 3G pack in Punjab circle. This pack has a denomination of Rs.192 and offers 1GB data at 3G speeds with validity of 21 days. Airtel also offers the same data benefit with a longer validity of 28 days for Rs.246. Rs.195 voucher offers 600MB 3G data with validity of 28 days while Rs.198 offers 1.25GB 2G data with 28-day validity. With these packs, Airtel is trying to bridge the gap between 2G and 3G data tariffs.

It is also worth noting that Airtel has launched 4G data pack of Rs.255 in Punjab circle which offers 1GB 4G data with 28 days validity. As you can see the price gap between 1GB 3G and 1GB 4G data with the same validity is not much. This implies that Airtel is trying to boost the uptake of high speed data and steadily moving towards a unified data packs system where the pack denomination will just specify the quantum of data bundled while the speeds you receive will solely depend on the capability of your handset or dongle.
