Airtel announces night plan with ‘voice cash-back’ offer

By March 2nd, 2016 AT 12:33 PM

India’s largest telecom operator, Bharti Airtel has started offering cash backs on used voice calls, similar to their ‘Data Cash Back’ offer. It means that users will now get half of used voice-calling balance credited back to their main account.

The new offer comes as an outcome of Airtel’s ‘Data Cash Back’ strategy, which worked well in the market. The offer fetched maximum new users for the company in the last few months. Besides, the company also recorded a substantial growth in the number of data users. In a bid to repeat the same success with voice-calling, Airtel has come up with a similar offer in calling segment.

The Airtel customers who have already activated ‘Data Cash Back’ offer; will be getting rewarded with free voice seconds as a part of the new voice-calling offer. It means that their used voice seconds will be credited back to main balance if they have made calls to any number in the night (between 12 AM- 6 AM).

When contacted, Airtel executives told us that the customers enrolled in the data cash back program will also get benefits of voice cashback offer. However, one can only get 50% of voice usage ( in seconds ) in the night, which would be valid for next 7 days limited to local Airtel number. Users can check free voice seconds through a USSD code -*125*324# or from My Airtel app.

If you’re an Airtel prepaid customer and still haven’t activated Cash Back offers then you can give a missed call to 55555 (toll-free) to activate 50% of cash back on both data and voice usage.

OFF TOPIC- I am currently roaming in up east and reliance has really pissed me off. Its partner 3G network aircel is giving me ultra high pings and garbage speeds. CCs are donkeys so no benefit in calling them. I am having 500MB+ data remaining. Vodafone is giving me 6-7Mbps speeds everytime with crystal clear voice.

And why my RGSM SIM isn’t working in my huawei dongle. The mobile partner simply doesn’t responds. Whereas all other sims work good. Do they have some lock in place?

Reliance and Airtel have super crap data coverage in UPE, Vodafone and Airtel are the best as you see for yourself. I think Reliance only has 2G in UPE, while Aircel offers 3G but coverage is patchy. Maybe it’s latching to 2G networks that’s why poor speeds and latency.

Maybe your dongle is set to find 3G networks only which is not available for Reliance.

I am from Rewa MP. There is no Reliance 3g signal for last 7 days. Contacted 198 and they say: You will get 3g signal only when you recharge with 3g data pack. Is it true? Really?

Aircel’s 3G network is not optimized in most places. You are bound to get such crappy speeds. Same is the case with reliance. They have a very unreliable network and pathetic customer care which doesn’t connect half the time

Same here in Udaipur, No warning notifications like Airtel. Even if i still have 5mb left, they cut all my main balance. Always. Customer cares are useless and slow to response. To me Airtel is the best, but it’s the most expensive network operator ever.

That means all those who do night shifts should also leave their jobs n take care of their health. Wat a non sense th8. Those who want to use the scheme can use it. Its not for everyone complusary. Cash back data was a success hence cash back mins will ask be a huge success as many people sleep whole day n wake up during nights

Doing night shifts is the worst thing you can so to your body and health. In the long term sleep deprivation can cause numerous problems from depression to memory loss and much more. Do some reading on the Ill effects of sleep deprivation, then you won’t remain a fan of night shifts and late night partying. If you sleep durign the day and sleep at night then you’re in big big trouble in the long term. But whatever floats your boat.
