Airtel, has launched its 4G services in Jharkhand with services live in Ranchi, Hazaribagh, Godda, Lohardaga, Pakur, Jamtara, Giridih and Barhi.

To ensure higher network capacity and superior customer experience, Airtel 4G services in Jharkhand have been rolled out using dual spectrum bands of 1800 MHz (FD LTE) and 2300 MHz (TD LTE). This also makes Jharkhand amongst the few states in India to have an integrated dual band Airtel 4G network. Airtel will extend its 4G footprint to other towns across Jharkhand in the coming months.

Commenting on the launch, Ajai Puri, Director – Operations (India & South Asia), Bharti Airtel said, “We are delighted to extend our 4G services to Jharkhand. We have also installed special demo zones and kiosks at all the Airtel retail stores to facilitate easy 4G SIM upgrades for customers.”

Customers across these cities in Jharkhand can switch their existing 2G/3G SIMs with 4G ready USIMs completely free of cost and also enjoy a onetime 2GB free 4G data with the upgrade

Airtel also announced a new 4G offer for prepaid customers who can now enjoy 10 GB 4G data for just Rs 247 with any new 4G handset. With Rs 247 recharge, 1 GB data will be instantly credited to the customer’s account and the additional 9 GB data can be claimed by the customer through My Airtel app. Users can avail a maximum of 3 recharges within 90 days, on the offer.
