Airtel soon launch 4G services in Gujarat invites customers to upgrade their existing SIMs to 4G ready USIMs free of cost

Airtel, India’s largest telecommunications services provider, today said that customers can switch their existing 2G/3G SIMs with 4G ready USIMs completely free of cost at Airtel retail stores across the state. Airtel plans to launch 4G services in Gujarat soon. With the USIM upgrade, customers can continue enjoying their existing 2G/3G services, while staying ready to experience Airtel 4G from the day of its launch.

Murthy Chaganti, CEO, Gujarat, Bharti Airtel (India) said, “We are inviting data savvy customers to be 4G ready with a simple switch to an Airtel USIM. We look forward to serving them with world-class services on India’s widest 4G network.”

Airtel 4G will allow customers to enjoy uninterrupted HD video streaming, superfast uploading and downloading of movies, music and images. The launch of Airtel 4G in Gujarat will be a part of Project Leap – Airtel’s nation-wide network transformation initiative. Airtel has led the 4G story in India, having launched India’s first 4G network in Kolkata in April 2012. Currently, Airtel 4G is available in over 350 towns across India.

Yes right, TRAI tests recently found out that all telcos except BSNL had call drop rates under the permissible limit of 2%. Mobile services are quite good here till now. Voice quality can be poor at times but call drops don’t happen a lot in Lucknow. Hope Jio also provides good services when it hopefully launches in December 4016, lol.

May be operators are using call masking to reduce reported call drop because as guys said voice is dissappear in between.

No one said that voice disappears in between, just the loudness or clarity might be affected but you can continue talking as it doesn’t become incomprehensible.
