ACT Fibernet, the leading non-telco ISP has revised its broadband plans for its users in Hyderabad. In recent times, ACT Fibernet revised the plans for the residents of Chennai, Delhi, and Andhra Pradesh. The ISP also introduced a 150 Mbps plan for Delhi users. The upgrade for Hyderabad users doesn't come as a surprise because ACT Fibernet is the largest broadband provider in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad with over 65% market share.

Nevertheless, it's a welcome change from ACT and the company is not charging any extra amount for the upgrades though. Starting off with the ACT Giga plan, it offers the same download speed of 1 Gbps with a monthly FUP of 1TB. Post FUP, the speeds will be dropped to 10 Mbps.

The ACT Incredible 1999 of Rs. 1999 now gives 150 Mbps speeds along with a monthly FUP of 500GB (upload-500GB, download-500GB). Post FUP, the speeds will be limited to 4 Mbps. The ACT A-Max 1299 plan of Rs. 1299 now offers 100 Mbps download speed, along with a monthly FUP of 300GB. The FUP is up from 250GB, while the download speed is increased from 75 Mbps.

The ACT A-1050 plan now gives 60 Mbps speed with a monthly FUP of 200GB for upload and 200GB for download. Post FUP, the speed will be decreased to 3 Mbps for both the A-Max 1299 and A-Max 1050 plans. The A-Max 650 plan of Rs. 650 is upgraded to offer 25 Mbps download speed along with a monthly FUP of 100GB for upload and 100GB for download. The download speed will be restricted to 1 Mbps after the completion of allocated monthly FUP.

Lastly, the ACT A-Max 410 of Rs. 410 gives 5 Mbps download speed. The monthly FUP for this Rs. 410 plan is 60GB for upload and 60GB for download. Post FUP, the speed will be reduced to 512 Kbps, which is underwhelming.

Also, do make a note that taxes are not applicable for all these plans. These are just the plans mentioned by ACT Fibernet on its website. Do enquire with an ACT official about the taxes applicable because the prices of the plans are subject to change.
