Lenovo, which rose to the third place in the Indian smartphone market recently has silently launched a new tablet, the Lenovo Tab 7 in the country. This tablet is listed on e-commerce website Flipkart and offers entry-level specifications. The tablet market in India is very slim at the moment, and this Lenovo tablet isn't going to change that either.

The Lenovo Tab 7 is priced at Rs. 9,999 and will be exclusively available on Flipkart. It comes in a single Slate Black colour option. Diving into the specifications of the tablet, the Lenovo Tab 7 flaunts a 6.98-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. Lenovo did not mention any 2.5D curved glass or Corning Gorilla Glass protection used on the smartphone.

This tablet is powered by a 64-bit MediaTek MT8735B chipset, which is a quad-core chipset with all the four cores clocked at 1.3GHz. The chipset is coupled with just 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which can be expanded further with a microSD card. The Mali-T720 GPU takes care of graphics in the smartphone.

Cameras in the Lenovo Tab 7 include a 5MP rear camera with autofocus support and a 2MP camera is present on the front of the phone. Lenovo has added Dolby Atmos support to this tablet, and the tablet might deliver superior audio quality.

Connectivity options in the Tab 7 include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and micro USB is present on the phone for charging and data synchronisation. Lenovo has added support for dual SIM cards on this tablet.

Thankfully, this tablet ships with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, and Lenovo is highlighting the multi-user feature. The tablet 260grams and measures 8.4mm in thickness. The Lenovo Tab 7 also comes with Lenovo's exclusive features such as Lenovo Framework, Lenovo User Experience, Lenovo Account, and ePOS. This entire package is backed by a 3500mAh battery, which might last for a single day.
