Lenovo has been busy strengthening its grasp over budget segment these days, and has just listed a new budget-friendly smartphone, the Lenovo A1900. It has been listed on Alibaba in China, and will sell for a retail price of around $60 (roughly Rs 3,600). It will probably be the least priced handset in Lenovo's lineup and is meant to cater to the first-time smartphone buyers.

The smartphone does not bring any surprise in terms of specifications as it has a really modest hardware specifications sheet. It brings a 4-inch WVGA LCD display to the table alongside a 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor, 512MB RAM, and 4GB of internal storage. Like majority of the budget handsets, even the Lenovo A1900 is a dual-SIM smartphone. The first SIM card slot supports 3G networks while the second one supports 2G networks, like most other smartphones in its price range. It runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system, and is equipped with a 2-megapixel primary camera and a 1,500 mAh battery.

Lenovo A1900 Specifications

  • 4-inch LCD display, 800 x 480 pixels resolution
  • Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system
  • 1.2GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor and 512MB RAM
  • 2-megapixel rear-facing camera without flash but no front-facing camera
  • 4GB of internal storage which can be further expanded by 16GB using a microSD card
  • Dual-SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, Micro-USB port, and 3.5 mm headphone jack
  • 1,500 mAh battery

The specifications may not be anything overwhelming but at this price tag, there's not much you can expect more from it. We can expect the device to be launched in India later this quarter with a sub-Rs 4,000 price tag. We say that you should skip this device unless it launches with a price tag below Rs. 4,000 in India.
