@sparsh
I think the speed will be upto 3.1 Mbps. The speed you talking is Wi-Fi router’s speed.
sparsh August 10, 2010 at 4:11 pm

@JOSEPH GEORGE
I agree, consistent speeds may be an issue. Wireless broadband can’t replace wired broadband – both have to coexist, handy for mobile workers

It’s a very good system. Share to hum pahle bhi kar sakte the, lekin ab ek saath bahut sare log use bhi kar sakte hain. Waiting for BSNL to provide this service, kyonki Tata ke paas unlimited offer to hai hin nahin.

There is surely going to be a war in wireless broadband which is going to intensify after the private operators start 3G by september but we must bear in mind that wireline broadband mainly caters to home,office but wireless mainly caters to students,and professional on the move and i dont think with the present tower density the mobile broadband may not be able give speeds of wireline at all regions or even with city limits
Ganesh Srinivasan August 5, 2010 at 7:19 pm
Yes wireless broadband will become order of the day in near future [when may companies launch 3G / WiMax etc or within 6 months of launch]
Also we will be in for good treat on monthly charges – current average price of 50 ps / MB means Rs 500 / GB – in near future we will have good offering for Rs 500 a month
My guess is we will have 5 GB – anytime access – for Rs 500 a month
Mahmood Junaid August 5, 2010 at 7:03 pm
the war has completely shifted to wireless broadband sector… I think it will lead to the death of fixed broadband dataone in india…
