BSNL To Launch 3G Mobile Services in Maharashtra & Goa Circle by June

After a long delay finally Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) announced that it will launch much awaited 3G mobile and data services in Maharashtra and Goa telecom circle in the second week of June.

Mr.V K Mahendra, General Manager, BSNL Maharashtra circle said “There would be no postponement this time. The testing of the 3G/UMTS instrument is going on and we are sure that we can launch the 3G service in Maharashtra circle by June.”

He also quoted “BSNL 3G Services will provide High quality multimedia features like video calling, high speed Internet browsing through Mobile phone/Data Cards and also subscribers can enjoy Live Mobile TV, Video SMS, & VoIP services on our 3G Compatible mobile phone. One can call in the US and see the other person on mobile screen while talking to him/her. However, the other person should also have 3G enabled handset.”

Recently BSNL crosses One Million 3G GSM Mobile and Data service subscriber mark and offers it next generation 3G services in more than 434 cities across India except Western Zone.

hi i am using bsnl 3g 4r last 4 month i am from bicholim goa the problem is that i dont get proper range in my bedroom its fluctuating all time am boared with this its ge disconnects again & again will this stuivation change

As confirm info received from CGM Office tht they are going to launch it in Goa state on 24th June. So go & buy your 3G handset before the black marketing starts, try to avoid china handset to procure. Use branded handset to get 100% use of 3G services.

steve :hi guysi live in south goa(margao)and i have been using bsnl 3.5g for last 4 months. the signals are still under testing mode but i can brows internet at a lighting speed of upto 380kbps and the fun part is most of the time i have not been charged. till date i downloaded 22gb bsnl zindabad

Which handset you have, pls change your handset & opt new nokia E series handset with 3.6mbps or more than that speed handset you will get more free data usage from BSNL because BSNL offering 3.6MBPS speed for 3G data users.Then you can say BSNL 200% more Zindabad.

Abhijit :But Initially they are launching 3G only in Pune city & Panji city(Goa)… When other cities will get 3G whether in next 6mnts or after one year that GOD only knows!!!!
Becoz I m seeing 3G signal in Pune & Panji since March 2010 and also current 2G customer were able to latch to the 3G network since March 2010 if handset were 3G enabled…. but other cities don’t have 3G test signal until yet…

FYI Pls!!! In Goa State they radiated total 86 3G equipped cellsites & one MP is using it since march to till date in Goa state, & he is using MTNL Mumbai sim card, he also uses data, video calling & Mobile tv functions successfully so dont worry after official launch you will get it in Entire Goa state. Pune 3G work is still pending, only because of Pune city issue its waited to launch in Mh Goa.

Dear Sir
I am using micromax q3 hand set with BSNL prepaid SIM mobile no. 9422191072. GPRS activated but GPRS setting not confugaring os saving the setting in mobile. On several requests on 1503, and complaints with customars services, there is no solution to setting of configuring in my mobile even after steps complited as suggested by operators time to time.
Kindly do the needful to GPRS setting confugering in my mobile as soon as posible .

atthe last any anouncement for 3g launch by bsnl in western circles after more than 1 year launch, after this launch i can expect bsnl 3g in gujarat!!!!
