Due to rising data prices, the government of India asked the telecom operators to come out with plans which come with only voice calling and some basic SMS benefits. The idea was to give customers an option to keep their SIM active without paying for data. The telecom operators initially objected to this rule, but then eventually had to bring such plans after the TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) enforcement. For the long term, Jio offers a Rs 1748 plan and Airtel offers a Rs 1849 plan to the consumers here.

Reliance Jio Rs 1748 prepaid plan comes with 336 days of service validity. With Rs 1748 prepaid plan, users get unlimited voice calling, 3600 SMSes, and zero data.
