Xolo has made a name for itself in the Indian smartphone arena with its premium-built smartphones. Xolo is working on a budget smartphone which will be the world's lightest smartphone. According to the reports, it will be priced around the Rs 12,000 mark and will weigh a little less than 100 grams (yes, that's right).
At that price, it will surely catch some attention. It will be a Windows Phone 8.1 device which will join previously launched Xolo Win tablet in a series of Windows powered devices. It is expected to be launched in July with a 4.7 inch screen size and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor under the hood.
Currently, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is the world's lightest one with a weight of 107 grams. Xolo will be ensuring that it does not compromise on the spec sheet of the device to come up with a light smartphone. Smartphones in similar segments these days are closely matched in terms of specs and it is hard to find a differentiator. But having the moniker of the world's lightest smartphone surely helps the cause.
