Xiaomi Teams Up With Hrithik Roshan to Launch Mi Band – HRX Edition

Xiaomi India has partnered with Hrithik Roshan to announce the new HRX Edition of its Mi Band. The new edition of the Mi Band is said to have up to 23 days of battery life, an improved tracking algorithm as well as splash resistant capability. This HRX Edition Mi Band is now available for purchase at the price of Rs. 1,299.

Mi Band-HRX Edition, an adaptation of the company’s Mi Band 2, is claimed by Xiaomi as the world’s leading fitness wearable. So far, over 3.5 million units of the Xiaomi Mi Band 2 have been sold globally in the second quarter according to IDC. The IDC report further says that Xiaomi is the leading wearable vendor worldwide with 13.4 percent registered sales.

One of the key features of the Mi Band – HRX Edition that sets it apart from the Mi Band 2 is its battery life. As per the company, the device delivers a 23-day long battery capacity on a single charge. The Mi Band comes with an OLED display and a low-energy Bluetooth 4.0 chipset.

The company also boasts that the new HRX Mi Band can last up to one whole month under regular conditions, "It can monitor your steps, calories burnt, and sleep patterns, as well as display notifications including incoming calls or text messages," Xiaomi further notes.

The band features a slim design and comes with a hypoallergenic silicone band and is quite light in weight. The Mi Band also comes with IP67 certification for splash resistance. Additionally, the wearable offers the ability to unlock your phone as well as receive both app and call alerts.

As for its availability, the HRX Edition Mi Band comes in Black colour option and will go on sale starting September 20 via both online and offline retailers. However, the HRX Edition Mi Band is available offline only in Xiaomi’s official stores – Mi Homes – from September 18.
