Xiaomi Reduces Prices of Mi TV 4A and Mi TV 4C Pro 32-inch Models in India

Xiaomi India today announced a permanent price reduction on two Mi TV models. The Xiaomi Mi LED Smart TV 4A 32 and Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32 models have received a price cut of up to Rs 2,000. Xiaomi launched the Mi TV 4A 32-inch model back in March 2018 and the Mi TV 4C was unveiled in India during the Mi Band 3 launch event in September 2018. The new price of the Mi TV 4A 32-inch model is Rs 12,499 and the Mi TV 4C Pro 32 will retail at Rs 13,999. These are very reasonable prices for the already affordably priced televisions from Xiaomi. Alongside these two TVs, Xiaomi also said that the Mi LED TV 4A Pro 49 and it will now retail for Rs 30,999. To recall, the Mi TV 4A Pro 49-inch model was launched alongside the Mi TV 4C Pro model.

Xiaomi Says Price Drop is Due to Reduction in GST

Xiaomi has sent out a press statement confirming the same. In the press release, Xiaomi noted "Happy new year! Ringing in 2019 on a positive note, we are delighted to receive the recent decision by the Government of India wherein GST on TVs have been reduced from 28% to 18% on TVs up to 32-inches." The company currently has two TVs with the display size of 32-inch and they both have seen a price cut.

The Mi LED Smart TV 4A 32-inch model will now retail for Rs 12,499 across Mi.com, Flipkart and offline stores. The Mi LED TV 4C Pro 32-inch model can be purchased for Rs 13,999, down from the original price of Rs 15,999. "In line with our philosophy and the government’s positive decision, we are happy to announce that the following Mi TVs will witness a drop in prices," added Xiaomi further.

As noted, Xiaomi also reduced the price of its 49-inch Mi TV 4A Pro model. Xiaomi said the price of the 49-inch model had been reduced due to the recent dollar moderation. Xiaomi reduced the price by Rs 1,000 and it will now be available for purchase at Rs 30,999. Furthermore, Xiaomi also confirmed the new prices would be effective starting today across all the sales channels.
