Xiaomi is yet to launched the Redmi Note in India but it is already readying a new device for the home market; China. An image has been leaked which shows a completely new device. It could be the successor to the Redmi Note or a completely new product line. The back suggests that the camera will be an 8.0-megapixel unit but the current Redmi Note has a 13-megapixel unit so a downgrade is something we don't understand. May be this is a successor to the Redmi 1S?
The Redmi Note successor is rumoured to come with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset, 2GB RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, 8GB/16GB of internal storage, dual-SIM support, and Android 4.4 KitKat operating system based on MIUI v6.0. It is expected to cost only $245 which would make it quite a capable mid-range handset on a budget.
