When Xiaomi first announced Redmi Note for India, it quoted a price of Rs. 9,999, but it has reduced the price right before the launch. Last week, it announced that the Redmi Note will be available for Rs. 8,999 from Flipkart, while a 4G LTE variant of the device will be priced at Rs. 9,999. The registrations to buy the dual-SIM 3G variant of Redmi Note has already started and will last till the midnight of December 1. Xiaomi has announced that it will put up 50,000 units of the Xiaomi Redmi Note for sale on December 2.
The sale of the Redmi 1S is now closed, and as Hugo Barra announced earlier, Xiaomi will keep only one device on sale at once. The Redmi Note features a 5.5-inch HD IPS LCD display, an octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel primary camera, a 5-megapixel secondary camera, dual-SIM card slot, and a 3,100 mAh battery. Unlike the 4G variant, the dual-SIM variant of the Redmi Note currently runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but Xiaomi has announced that they will offer Android 5.0 Lollipop to all of its devices very soon.
The Redmi Note 4G features a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 GPU, and 4G LTE connectivity on both 1800MHz and 2300MHz bands. Also, it will be sold in partnership with Airtel, but no further information has been conveyed by the company.
