Xiaomi has announced that it had received over five lakh registrations for the flash sale, which happened today. This was expected as Xiaomi had put up two smartphones on sale; the Redmi 1S and the Redmi Note 4G, on the same day for the first time in India.
Manu Kumar Jain, Head of Xiaomi India, has announced through his Tweets that the Redmi Note 4G went out of stock within 5 seconds, while the Redmi 1S went out of stock within 4 seconds. Xiaomi had put up 50,000 units of the Redmi Note 4G and 20,000 units of the Redmi 1S on sale today at 2PM and 5PM respectively.
Xiaomi is trying to sell as many Qualcomm Snapdragon-powered smartphones in the country as possible, before the final decision is taken by the Delhi High Court in February 2015 regarding the ban.
