Like last year, Xiaomi is rumoured to launch its flagship smartphone, the Xiaomi Mi 7 in April. A new leak suggests the phone will come with Snapdragon 845 chipset and a whopping 8GB of RAM. An image of the Mi 7's MIUI 9 About Phone screenshot has surfaced online, and some other key specifications are leaked as well.

The Xiaomi Mi 7 will come with a 5.6-inch Full HD+ display, in-line with most other flagship smartphones released last year. Of course, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC, and it may arrive in several storage variants such as 64GB, 128GB and 256GB. And the RAM will be up to 8GB.

The leaked screenshot shows the device was running MIUI 8.1.30x version which was released just a couple of weeks ago. So, the phone will come out with the latest version of MIUI, but it will be interesting to see what version of Android it runs- Android Nougat or Android Oreo. Xiaomi has already started Oreo testing for the Mi 6, so it would be a great thing if Xiaomi launches the upcoming flagship phone with Oreo out of the box.

Other than that, the Mi 7 will have a 4480mAh battery, and it might support wireless charging as well. As per the screenshot, there will be two cameras at the back- a primary 16MP sensor will be paired with a 5MP secondary camera.

It is also said that Xiaomi will launch two variants of the smartphone- the Mi 7 and the Mi 7 Plus, but we have to wait until the official to know what's cooking.
