Xiaomi has started teasing a new smartphone's launch in India on June 7 touting it as the best Selfie smartphone, and it could be the recently launched Redmi S2. However, the smartphone could be launched in India with a different moniker under the Redmi Y series, maybe as Redmi Y2. In the past, the Redmi Y2 name was spotted on Xiaomi India's website along with Mi A2, but Xiaomi is not teasing the launch of Mi A2 though. That said, only the Redmi S2 could be launched in India as Redmi Y2 this month, and the Mi A2 might arrive at a later date.

Xiaomi Redmi S2 Expected Price in India
The Redmi S2 could start at Rs 8,999 in India, considering the Redmi Note 5 is selling for Rs 9,999 in the country. The lack of Full HD+ display and a smaller battery could account for a smaller price tag when compared to the Redmi Note 5. The Redmi S2 in China starts at 999 Yuan.
