Vodafone 4G Network Now Spanning Over 2800 Towns in Gujarat

Vodafone India today announced that its SuperNet 4G services are now live across 2800 towns in Gujarat and the telco stated that it will continue the aggressive network investment in the circle to provide the best experience to its 20 million subscribers. Vodafone rolled out over 4500 new sites across the circle, covering over 2800 towns. Furthermore, to ensure reliable connectivity to the residents of South Gujarat region, Vodafone has added over 1000 new sites to bring over 600 towns in South Gujarat region within the Vodafone SuperNet 4G network. "This endeavour further strengthens Vodafone’s robust network in Gujarat state, providing seamless connectivity to a highly data savvy customer base," said Vodafone in a press statement.

Abhijit Kishore, Business Head, Gujarat, Vodafone India, said, “We are proud to announce that over 2800 towns in Gujarat are now covered by Vodafone SuperNet 4G service. With a highly technology savvy customer base, Gujarat is a strong growth market for Vodafone. The rate of smartphone adoption and consumption of mobile data is perceptibly high, and our customers need consistently superfast data speeds.”

Over the past year, Vodafone has invested over Rs 11,400 crore on ramping up the network, setting up over 4500 additional sites across the entire circle and the telco even ensured to upgrade all the 3G sites to 4G technology. "Vodafone has also significantly strengthened connectivity in the South Gujarat region, taking Vodafone SuperNet 4G to over 600 towns in the South Gujarat region. We remain committed to continuing to invest in technology, products and services to ensure sure our customers in Gujarat enjoy a superior mobile voice and data experience,” he further added.

To recall, Vodafone launched its SuperNet 4G services in Gujarat in mid-2016 to deliver high-speed data services in the region. Since then, Vodafone has expanded its SuperNet 4G footprint to multiple districts of South Gujarat region like Surat, Navsari, Bharuch, Valsad, Narmada, Tapi, Dang, Daman, Dadar and Nagar Haveli.

Alongside the service rollout, Vodafone is offering the best-prepaid tariff plans in the region. The telco has an industry's best plan of Rs 569 which gives 3GB data per day for 84 days. No other telco is offering such benefit at the moment. Vodafone also has a large retail footprint with 650+ retail stores spread across prominent localities across the region, making it convenient for customers to access Vodafone’s products and services.
