Xiaomi had announced two new power banks a few weeks ago, the one with 16,000 mAh battery, and the other with 5,000 mAh battery capacity. The Mi 16,000 mAh Power Bank went on sale earlier today along with the Mi Bank, and was sold out in four minutes and 5 seconds.
Now, the company has announced that its 5,000 mAh Slim Power Bank will go on a flash sale on June 16, and that it would be priced at just Rs. 699. It has one 2.0A power input and a 2.1A power output. The power bank has an all aluminium casing, just like the other power banks from the company, but it is quite slim (9.9 mm) in comparison. It weighs 156 grams, and comes with a 9-circuit protection designed by Texas Instruments. Xiaomi is claiming that it offers up to 93 percent charging conversion rate.
With increasing smartphone usage in our day-to-day lives, the demand for power banks that provide instant power source to smartphones and tablets has increased a lot. After Xiaomi, many other brands including OnePlus, Lenovo, and Asus have launched power banks with large battery capacities, but with dirt-cheap price tags.
